Resin collected from rock faces above 10,000 feet across the Pithoragarh district. It seeps out under the summer heat and is gathered by hand by families who have worked the same faces for generations.
What arrives is raw rock exudate, not a product. It is purified the traditional way: soaked in spring water, strained through cloth again and again, then reduced over a wood fire in an iron kadhai until only the resin is left. Slowly, because a hard flame scorches it. Every batch is tested for fulvic acid content and for heavy metals before it is filled.
Dense, golden-black and glossy. Hard when cold, and it pulls into a thread when warmed in the hand. Bitter and mineral on the tongue — nothing added, and nothing that could make it easier to take.
